Before you came into my life...

TEXT

Even though I used to love sailing and surfing and loved the liberating feeling of being out in the middle of a vast expanse of water, I have always been a city person and felt like fish out of water when I on occasion spent a couple of days visiting my friends in their summer house in the middle of the woods. One day in the country could throw me out of balance... I missed feeling the pulse of the city, I missed the noise, the art galleries, theatre and....asphalt... While I have always been very active, taking a walk/run in the woods was not something that I would normally do. I spent my life being constantly busy (self-inflicted) working and indulging all my interests (sailing, surfing, painting, shooting sports, going to every art exhibit that I found interesting... etc..) always planning to slow down later. Little did I know, this was all about to change. Most of us have experienced pivotal moments and for me, one of the most perplexing and yet, the most cherished moments of illumination, the moment that would change the course of my life was bringing home an extraordinary Flat Coated Retriever puppy who grew up to be the love of my life and the most amazing dog I have ever known. I love you Harley.
